NORTHUP SAYS SUPPORTING TSCP MAY EXCEED CPSC MANDATE

CPSC Commissioner Anne Northup October 27 expressed concerns about the Toy Industry Association’s (TIA) Toy Safety Certification Program (TSCP), wondering aloud if CPSC’s backing of the plan would exceed its mandate and, in addition, disadvantage smaller toy makers.
