MOST 2008 GOALS MET REPORTS CPSC
CPSC met or exceeded most of its fiscal 2008 performance goal, according to its November performance report for the year that ended September 30.

IKEA will pay a $500,000 civil penalty to settle CPSC allegations that it did not report safety incidents in time, the agency said November 23.

A bill (SB 2860) awaiting the signature of Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich (D) would require warnings on children’s products with total lead contents between 40 parts per million (ppm) and 600 ppm.
