Commission Votes to Move on Testing Cost Reduction


Commissioners October 10 voted unanimously deciding to explore nine specific potential opportunities for reducing third party testing costs. The decision stems from the August 2011 mandate of HR 2715, the CPSIA amendment law, which directed CPSC to explore opportunities to reduce third party testing costs. The decision follows CPSC staff’s mid-September briefing (PSL, 9/24/12, p. 1).
