CPSC Voluntary Standards Work Increases
The number of CPSC’s voluntary standards projects remained the same – at 60 – but its October 1 semiannual report reflects increased work. More project descriptions contained substantive activity (see chart below) than in other recent reports (PSL, 1/16/12, p. 1). That activity also has been reflected in the increased number of stories in PSL about activity by voluntary standards committees. CPSC still has not reached its pre-CPSIA number of projects: 75.
