UL Panel Considers Table Saws Mitigation Systems

CPSC staff and other members of the UL table saw safety working group September 12 discussed a draft of a proposal to add “active injury mitigation system” language to UL 987, Standard for Stationary and Fixed Electric Tools. Led by Mahmood Tabaddor of UL, the web conference also received an update on performance requirements and on an experimental plan for new test method development.
