CPSC Sues Buckyballs Maker; Company Responds Strongly
The three counts in CPSC’s July 25 administrative complaint against Maxfield & Oberton over its Buckyballs and Buckycubes magnetic desk toys involve whether the warnings are defective, whether the products are defective, and whether they are substantial product hazards. The last time CPSC took such action was in 2001, seeking a recall of certain Daisy airguns.
