ICE Shuts Down 70 Counterfeiting Websites


As part of an ongoing anti-counterfeiting operation, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced July 12 that it had seized 70 websites that were found to be illegally selling counterfeit merchandise. The most recent seizures were part of the ICE’s Project Copy Cat, which is an iteration of the National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center’s (IPR) Operation In Our Sites (IOS) program. The most recent seizures bring the total number of websites shut down by the program to 839.
