ECHA Wants Feedback on Air Fresheners Ingredient


The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) seeks comments by December 19 on a proposed restriction of a chemical used in some air fresheners and toilet blocks. The substance, 1,4-dichlorobenzene, would be classified as a category 2 carcinogen related to concern about liver tumors, and ECHA also noted worries about effects on the kidneys and respiratory tract.
